Nicola Roberts - Vintage Fashion Icon!

Nicola Roberts was spotted leaving the Girls Aloud concert with fellow band mate Nadine Coyle for some R&R after strutting her stuff on stage lastnight. Nicola looks very ladylike and refined with her carefully 1950s groomed hair and 1960s inspired mini skirt and shirt. We have been watching GA's Nicola Roberts and long gone are the days of fake tanning and trackie bottoms. This girl has style and we wish we were allowed in her wardrobe. Chanel bag too..whats not to love? I'm just a love machine..lalalala..

"The Diana" vintage 1950s style dress fit for a bombshell!

A 1950s vintage style dress has just arrived at Natasha Bailie Vintage Clothing Company! This dress is not vintage, but a vintage reproduction dress and a great one at that. We have named this knock out dress "The Diana" to give a salute to the fab starlet Diana Dors -Britains version of Monroe. Even though this dress of bombshell dreams is not vintage, reproduction dresses have lots of pro's as I have said before, but seriously - this dress comes in small, medium and large. You and all your girlfriends can wear one out and about on the town.

Dita Von Teese Special Lipstick Compartment Designed Dress!

Dita Von Teese is currently in Cannes, you may know this if you follow her on Twitter @ditavontesse. This is one of Dita's TwitPics of a dress that was designed for her while she was red carpeting it up in Cannes. The extraordinary thing about this made to measure couture is that the designer has created Dita's very own special compartment in the dress for her most important item for a red carpet event - DVT lipstick. Bright red no doubt!

Blair Waldorf Sailor Dress has Arrived...Anchors Away!

Anchors Away! "The Sailor dress" has anchored onto the Brighton shore line and is now ready to buy at Natasha Bailie Vintage Clothing Company. This dress is not vintage, but is a vintage reproduction dress and the pro to vintage style dresses is they come in more than one size so you and your sailing crew can all wear one to the yacht party. This dress is fitted with lots of stretch so hugs you in all the right places. It comes in navy with satin white piping and the white patent belt is also included. You lucky thing!
Now if that was not enough to get you salavating, Gossip Girls "Blair Waldorf" wore this dress in an episode of GG. Blair Waldorf is the ultimate prim and proper princess and she looks to 1950s hollywood for her fashion inspiration.
This is the ultimate 1950s vintage style wiggle dress. Wear with red lippie, red high heels and look out for ice...

Michelle Obama is a fashion icon!

Michelle Obama is my new fashion icon! Michelle O never disappoints and is either a frocking genius or she has a style team to rival Coco Chanel herself. I was looking for pictures of her and stumbled upon this one. I love a candid picture and wanted to share this one with you.

Audrey Tautou is Coco Chanel

Audrey Tautou has a been linked to Audrey Hepburn not just for her name and breath taking beauty, but for her Parisian elegance and lady like qualities. It is clear to see why Chanel wanted her to replace Nicole Kidman to be the face of their infamous parfume Chanel No.5.

Chanel No.5 was the only thing Marilyn wore to bed, Kidman wanted to dance in the stuff and now Tautou becomes entangled with a handsome gentlemen on the "Midnight Express" to Istanbul! The advert for the fragrant spritz was premiered on the 5th May on the Chanel website and was directed by Amelie's Jean-Pierre Jeunet. This heady mix of talent has created a 3 minute movie that has hints of 1940s war time angst with dreamy lighting and sexual frustration thrown in for good measure. All this under the big C's! For those of you that don't know Audrey Tautou is playing the very famous Coco Chanel in this summers blockbuster "Coco before Chanel" which is hitting the big screens in July. I hope to finally see the Coco behind Chanel.

Kirstie Allsopp - A Vintage Fashion Icon?

Kirstie first graced our screens with the equally lovely Phil Spencer in Location, Location for channel 4 where the property duo helped people find their perfect house. Not only was the show great as Kirstie always got annoyed with the potential house buyers and told them when they were being "silly" or "unrealistic" - which is what we were all shouting at our screens! But Kirstie always had the most amazing outfits. Even when they were looking around the country for properties Allsopp always wore high heels. In the winter months she would wear coats in an array of colours with huge buttons in golds and reds. In the summer she wore the prettiest floral dresses and wrap dresses I have ever seen.
Now Kirstie has gone solo and has her very own channel 4 show called "Kirstie's Homemade Home" where Kirstie is renovating her own property in Devon. In the show, Allsopp hunts for the "best of handmade inventiveness, design and craft" and visits auction houses as well as reclaiming and restoring pieces of furniture. She has so far learnt how to create homemade soap, candles, pillowcases and tablecloths.
If you like Cath Kidston, oilcloth and art deco vintage-ness this show is for you. If that does not get you salavating, Kirstie's fashion and clothing is even better than Location, Location. Floral shirts with full circle skirts, Floral Dresses, 1950s style dresses and cute cardigans- she is a vintage fashion lovers pin up.
Here at NB towers Kirstie Allsopp has been named our Vintage Fashion Icon.
