Erdem is synonymous with prints, colour and a bias cut dress. Erdem's spring summer 11 collection is full of structured dresses, floral prints and a lot of lace. I don't pretend to know about fashion trends and couture, but I do know what I like and I know that most designer inspiration comes from vintage style and fashion. Best of all the next couple of seasons; look set to be full of 50s, 60s and 70s inspired looks.
When I found these images of Erdem's SS11 catwalk I was thrilled to see lace prom dresses, tea dresses and peter pan collars. I never knew I wanted a red lace dress untill I spied Erdem's dress pictured above. Red and Lace normally come in conversation when you are talking hoochie knickers no? Somehow Erdem has made red and lace ladylike, demure and pretty. I can hardly wait till Spring!
