Thanks to liammacuaid I just found this awesome picture of my two favourite legends; Ella Fitzgerald and Marilyn Monroe! I have googled Marilyn over a zillion times and have never seen this picture...I had to post it up immediately. Wonder what those broads were chatting about?

ReplyDeleteI read some where that Marilyn went to the owner of the Mocambo club and offered to sit front row, every night for 5 nights if he booked Ella Fitzgerald there. He agreed and this helped Ella's career alot. This was in the very racist 1950's where Ella got the door slammed in her face so she always remembered and was grateful to Marilyn. Love that story!
