Gwen Stefani's Bespoke Galliano Wedding Dress to be Displayed at the V&A

Gwen Stefani graces the cover of this Aprils ELLE magazine and talks Gavin, kids, L.A.M.B and her infamous pink dipped wedding dress designed by controversial man of the moment, John Galliano.

Interviewed by her equally famous gal pal Shirley Manson, Gwen is asked about the last piece of clothing she wore that made her feel amazing. To which Gwen answers the question with the same answer we all probably do "My wedding dress" and tells the story of how Galliano came to create her iconic wedding dress.

"When I got engaged and someone told me that John said he would make my dress, I was like really? I said I wanted it to be over the top, but not traditional - I wanted it to be everything. But how do you tell this genius over the phone? He was, like, OK, and sent me these drawings of this unbelievable, perfect dress. It's going into the V&A now. I didn't wanna send it because I was scared it would get ruined. But it's a work of art, it needed to be seen." - Gwen Stefani, April issue, Elle Magazine.

What do you think of Gwen's wedding dress? Will you want to see it at the V&A?

  1. I adore Gwen's wedding dress! It is both unique + classic at the same time. Wish I was able to see it in person, but alas New Zealand is too far away! x www.lostinthehaze.com

  2. Many brides would surely love to have a copy of this wedding gown. Most brides prefer to don wedding dresses that look exactly like the ones they saw being worn by famous people.
