Vintage Trend: Palazzo Pants

The Palazzo Pant is back. Palazzo Pants are also known as wide legged trousers, lounge pants or pyjama trousers and have all the elegance and movement of a long skirt, but with the practicality of a trouser. Designers strutted their palazzo pant creations down the runways for S/S11 and the high street have already got their Palazzo's on the shop floor.

This is of course not the Palazzo Pants first rodeo. First seen in the 1930s, women would wear the wide legged trouser on their holidays. In the 30s, Palazzo Pants were named "Beach Trousers". It was not until the 1970s that Palazzo Pants got wider, brighter and became a cool alternative to 60s flares and bell bottomed trousers.

What do you think? Will you be wearing the Palazzo Pant this season? Tell me and leave a comment below my wide legged trouser friends xx
