Jonathan Saunders S/S12 Collection : 50s Style Dresses

Last season Saunders was all about the forties pencil skirt and this season he seems to of given way to the romance of a fifties prom skirt. With his collection for Spring/Summer 2012 boasting 50s style sun dresses, calf length in many prints and luxurious fabrics. The romance of this Jonathan Saunders collection is amplified by the pastel hues of the dresses. (Get me, I just actually wrote "pastel hues")

I promise I know nothing when it comes to NYFW, LFW, all fashion weeks, but I do know what I like and I love sharing fabulous vintage style on my blog with you. Apart from the 1950s inspired dresses....I did not see much else in this collection that could be worn by a "real life" person.

Remember when you just had to be pretty with dimples to be a model? I miss those days....check out the faces on these "model" broads...

  1. I've often wondered why models are encouraged to have such sour faces... they get to wear pretty clothes, they should be happy and SHOW IT! Also, wouldn't a happy model help sell the clothing? Just saying, if I saw a woman in a beautiful ensemble, and she was smiling, I'd be all "Hmm... that's lovely. I want to feel like that!"
