Today a selection of suits worn by the former prime minister Margaret Thatcher during the 1970s goes under the hammer at Christie's in their 'London Sale'.
The seven lots will include the navy suit Thatcher wore when she was nominated as Conservative party leader and a pearlescent "Cocktail Ensemble". Each suit is expected to fetch between £1,000 to £1,500.
The sale marks the last day of a summer auction to celebrate "all things British", which included an old Routemaster bus, vintage prints and Victorian antiques.
